Sumatra Investment and Trade Survey (SITS)
The SITS is an important component of ADB's sector work on trade and investment in IMT-GT. The primary objective of the SITS is to provide an empirical understanding of factors and policies that influence firm performance, including productivity, profitability, investment, growth and links with external markets, particularly in other regions of IMT. The SITS will also fill an important data gap by providing a benchmark for sub-national data on trade, investment and tourism within the Indonesian component of IMT-GT. The survey was completed in January 2009, with data collected from 929 firms of all sizes in 4 sectors of manufacturing representative at the district level and at all-Sumatra level.
