Development Partners
The ADB is a Development Partner of IMT-GT since 2006. ADB provides capacity building support to IMT-GT institutions and provides assistance in mobilizing technical and financial resources as well as support for establishing an enabling environment for private sector development. ADB is currently supporting capacity building at the new IMT-GT permanent secretariat, and other institutions including Working Groups and Governors' and Chief Ministers' Forum. ADB is also facilitating economic and sector analysis to promote trade, investment, and tourism in the subregion, with a focus on the 5 identified Economic Connectivity Corridors.

The ASEAN Secretariat is an IMT-GT partner organization that provides valuable support and linkage to development in regional cooperation in ASEAN. Subregional cooperation within IMT-GT is consistent with promoting the realization of an ASEAN Economic Community by 2015.
